Bob French returned to Breckenridge in 1971 to open the first Summit County office, offering services to clients in three locations: Leadville, Eagle, and Breckenridge.

Steve West joined the firm in 1973, eventually becoming a partner in the early 1980s. In 1985 Wayne Brown merged his practice with French, West & Wood, P.C. and the firm became known as French, West, Wood & Brown, P.C.
