Mark’s practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, business law, criminal law, and homeowner’s associations. Mark also serves as the prosecutor for the Towns of Breckenridge, Silverthorne and Dillon.
Mark grew up in Dillon and graduated from Summit High School. He got his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. After graduating, he came back to Colorado and earned his law degree from CU.
After graduating from law school, Mark began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in the Fifth Judicial District, District Attorney’s Office, which includes Eagle and Summit counties. Mark worked his way up in the office and in 2002, the governor appointed him to be the District Attorney. After ten years and two elections, he was term limited. He moved on to be the Assistant District Attorney and head of the Cold Case Homicide Unit in the front range. After five years, the mountains came calling, and he became a Deputy District Attorney in Chaffee, Fremont and Park Counties prosecuting complex cases. Mark joined Huntley & Associates as an associate in January of 2025.
Mark enjoys running, road biking, backpacking in the summer, and Nordic and alpine skiing in the winter. Mark and his wife Cathy, who is a District Court judge, have two grown kids, who live in Denver and St. Albans, Vermont. He serves on several nonprofit boards.
